Course Description
CSO (Common Safety Orientation) is a two-hour online course from Energy Safety Canada. It is the standard general safety orientation for all workers in the Oil and Gas industry. As an Authorized Training Provider through Energy Safety Canada we are offering the use of our facility's computer lab for students to take the course. Our computer lab is a professional learning environment that has been approved as meeting the technical requirements of this course.
Our computer lab consists of 14 computers which can all be utilized simultaneously so that companies have the ability to complete a lot of staff in a short amount of time. A printer is also available in the lab for students to print off their certificates upon completion.
How it Works
Students/Companies pay Energy Safety Canada directly for the course. This can be done with credit card online as students begin the course. Alternatively , companies can purchase multiple CSO course Access Codes directly from Energy Safety Canada and must ensure the student comes to their appointment with an Access Code in hand.
Costs payable to Great Plains College cover the use of technical equipment, computer lab usage, ear buds (that each student will keep) as well as staff required to be on location to supervise the course and provide technical assistance to the students.
Students must bring government-issued photo ID for the course that they will show to Energy Safety Canada through the webcam to authenticate their identity.
