KINDERSLEY: Staff at Great Plains College Kindersley Campus are inviting members of the public to stop in on February 9, 2017, and discover the programs available locally, with a focus on the Administrative Assistant program.
The Administrative Assistant program offers multiple start dates throughout the year and accepts both full-time and part-time students. Furthermore, there is an opportunity for individuals to upgrade their computer or accounting skills by enrolling in a single course—for credit or non-credit—within the Administrative Assistant program.
“There are a number of different programs available right here in Kindersley,” said Fritz Eckstein, Great Plains College region manager. “The Information Night and Open House will focus on the competency-based Administrative Assistant program, which provides learners the flexibility to learn at their own pace.”
From 5 to 8 p.m. student advisers and staff members will be available to answer questions, assist potential students with the application process and provide information on scholarship and financial aid opportunities.
Additional local programs include; Adult Basic Education, Continuing Care Assistant, Certificate in Health, Safety and Environmental Processes (online), Power Engineering (Fourth and Third Class) and Safety Training.
“There is something for learners at all stages of their journey, whether they are newcomers to the area, individuals who are interested in completing their Grade 10, 12 or GED®, students ready to pursue post-secondary programs or persons needing to complete industry safety tickets,” Eckstein added.
