You will focus on the issues related to providing respectful and relevant early learning and childcare for all children and families. You will have opportunities to examine your personal beliefs and values as they relate to the planning and implementation of an anti-bias curriculum for children. You will acquire the knowledge and develop the skills needed to build partnerships with families while respecting their diverse needs and cultures.
Commercial Pesticide Applicator (Industrial or Agriculture) Refresher Course - 1 day
A one day course that covers safety considerations, basic saw maintenance and basic saw handling. Practical hands-on exercises are included. Students must wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Chainsaws are provided by the instructor.
The course covers legislation, safety measures and best practices. It includes the selection and safe use of fall prevention, work positioning and fall arrest systems. It additionally includes fall hazard identification, fall protection planning and discussion on fall effects and fall rescue. Participants will engage in hands-on training. Participants must pass both a written and a practical-skills exam to obtain a certificate of successful course completion. As part of the practical exam, each participant will be briefly suspended in a harness.
